Every week, the Johnson State College Athletics Department spotlights one male and one female student-athlete that have excelled either on the playing surface or in the classroom and community. 

This week’s female student-athlete spotlight is women’s basketball senior Kasey DeGreenia.

DeGreenia led Johnson to a 1-1 week, including an 80-70 victory over Husson on Saturday. DeGreenia scored two points and picked up five rebounds and two assists in the Badgers loss to Maine Maritime on Friday. The senior forward had a record performance in Saturday’s win against Husson, scoring a career-high 26 points and pulling in a program record 23 rebounds, while adding two assists and two steals. Overall, DeGreenia averaged 14 points, 14 rebounds, two assists and a steal per game, while shooting 37.0% from the field and 8-11 (72.7%) from the free throw line. 

The Badgers will travel to Colby-Sawyer on Wednesday for a North Atlantic Conference match-up, scheduled to start at 7:30 p.m.
