Ben Michon Named Assistant Athletic Trainer

JOHNSON, Vt.-Northern Vermont University-Johnson and Associate Dean of Athletics Jamey Ventura has announced the hiring of Ben Michon as NVU-Johnson's new Assistant Athletic Trainer. 

Michon joins the Badgers after graduating from Lasell College in Newton, Massachusetts earning a Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training. During his time at Lasell, Michon worked with men's soccer, women's basketball, cross-country, and men's and women's lacrosse. Michon's main responsibilities was facilitating return to play care for athletes.

Head Athletic Trainer James Nichols is excited for the addition of Michon. "I am excited about the addition of Ben Michon to the athletic training staff at Northern Vermont University-Johnson" said Nichols. "Our student-athletes will benefit from Ben's strong athletic training background and his enthusiasm for the work". 

Prior to his clinical experience at Lasell College, in the spring of 2018, Michon spent time working at St. Sebastian's School in Needham, Massachusetts where he developed extensive exposure to concussion recognition, testing and treatment and worked with both winter and spring sports. 

Michon also spent time at the College of Holy Cross working with the football program in the fall of 2017.

"I am excited to get my start here at Northern Vermont University-Johnson. I look forwarded to working with the student-athletes and grow athletics as a whole throughout my role as Assistant Athletic Trainer and Strength and Conditioning coach".

Along with his athletic training responsibilities, Michon will be the head of strength and conditioning for the Badgers.
