Reed Tabbed as NAC Player of the Week

Senior Josh Reed has been named North Atlantic Conference Player of the Week. Reed led Johnson State to a 2-1 week off the bench, averaging 18.7 points per game while shooting 57.1 percent (12-21) from three-point range and 69.9 percent (20-29) from the floor.

Reed also went 8-for-10, including 5-for-7 from downtown in a convincing win over King's College Saturday, pouring in a game-high 24 points. Reed grabbed five boards and dished off seven assists on the week.

"It's a great feeling to see all the hard work that I have put in is paying off," Reed said. "It is an honor to be recognized by the NAC. I hope that it gets the school and the community even more excited about this season and hopefully can draw more fans to support us."

"I am excited about our potential this year. Coach Verdell brings a lot of knowledge of the game to this team and his passion for success and desire to work harder than every other team is contagious," Reed continued. "Although we have some more work to do, I feel after all our hard work we will have a great opportunity to put JSC's first NAC Banner up on the wall."

Reed and the Badgers will return to action on Wednesday, December 4th at 5:30pm when they host Green Mountain College for the first conference game of the season.
