Hickey Passes 1,000 for Johnson

In many ways, Saturday's performance was typical for senior captain, Bryan Hickey. He filled the stat sheet, sinking a game high 23 points, grabbing 11 boards and throwing in one helper in the Badger's loss against Me.-Farmington.

Although the Barre native collected 18 of his 23 points in the first half, the second half was just as impressive.  Hickey used a short corner jumper with 11:27 remaining in the game to join the Johnson State College Men's Basketball 1,000 point club.

"I'm proud to be part of the 1,000th point club," Hickey said. "I've reached this goal thanks to my coaches, teammates and family. This is a memory I'll always have."

Coach Tommy Verdell added, "I'm so proud of Bryan. His hard work shows and he stands out as a model player for his team."

Hickey and the Badgers will look to secure a place in postseason play this week when they travel to Maine Maritime on Friday night for a 7:30p North Atlantic Conference tilt.
