Holl, Larose Receive NAC Men's Basketball Honors

WATERVILLE, MAINE – Johnson State College Seniors Benjamin Holl (Philadelphia, Pa.) and Wyatt Larose (Enosburg Falls, Vt.) were among those honored by the North Atlantic Conference (NAC) on Wednesday as the conference announced its end of season awards.

Holl was named the Senior Scholar Athlete of the Year, while Larose was named to the Sportsmanship Team.

Holl is being recognized for excelling academically and athletically throughout his undergraduate experience. He has proven himself as a leader on the court as well as in the classroom. The Business major was named to the Dean's List every semester at Johnson State and has spent time as a shooting instructor, working with young athletes to help them learn the game and improve on their skills. On the court this season, the senior netted 321 points (12.8/game), gathered 91 rebounds (67 defensive; 24 offensive), dished 61 assists, earned 48 steals, and claimed eight blocks. Holl started in all 25 of the Badgers' games this season, while recording double-digit scoring in 18 games. Holl becomes the second straight Badger to earn the Senior Scholar Athlete of the Year, with Greg Davis earning the honor last year.

The NAC Men's Basketball Sportsmanship Team is reserved for those who have distinguished themselves through demonstrated acts of sportsmanship and ethical behavior. The honorees are individuals who have positively affected the basketball culture and environment and whose behavior clearly demonstrates sportsmanship and integrity that go beyond the playing rules and etiquette. Larose is a four-year member of the Johnson State men's basketball team, playing in 44 career games and recording 66 points, 29 rebounds, 11 assists and 10 steals.
