Eagles Soar Past Badgers

BANGOR, ME- The Northern Vermont University-Johnson men's basketball team fell in a North Atlantic Conference contest to Husson University by a score of 105-32. 

 The Badgers were led by sophomore Robert Dubose (Philadelphia, PA) who scored a team high 10 points and collected a team high six rebounds. The Badgers struggled to find a rhythm for most of the first half. The Eagles started the game on a 10-0 run and controlled most of the first half. Dubose put the Badgers on the board with his first layup of the game. It wasn't enough as the Eagles went on another run of their own scoring 23 points before the Badgers even connected on another attempt. The Eagles ended the half leading 50-9. 

 The second half was no different for the Badgers as they struggled throughout the second half to score. The Badgers scored 23 points in the second half to the Eagles 55 points. The Eagles had seven players score in double figures. They were led by DJ Bussey who scored 13 points. Justin Thompson, Kyanti Blyden and Dylan Angel all contributed 12 points and Cole Thomas and Isiah Hart had 10 a piece for the Eagles. 

 With the loss the Badgers fall to 3-17 overall and 2-8 in North Atlantic Conference play. The Eagles improve to 12-8 and 8-2 in conference play.
