Mamadou N'Diaye Set to Make Immediate Impact in 2019-2020 Season

JOHNSON, Vt.- The Northern Vermont University-Johnson men's basketball team have collected another commitment for the 2019-2020 season.

Mamadou N'Diaye comes to Northern Vermont University-Johnson from Prince George, Maryland. N'Diaye was a member of the Potomac High School boys' varsity basketball team. During the off season, N'Diaye competed on the AAU circuit with AHoops and Team Rampage.

Northern Vermont University-Johnson has presented opportunities for N'Diaye that no other college or university has. "I chose Northern Vermont University-Johnson because I believe it is a great place to continue my education, basketball career and grow as a person. I plan on studying Fine Arts when I arrive as a student-athlete".

Head Coach Miles Smith is excited for the addition of Mamadou. His athleticism and size will make an immediate impact for the Badgers this upcoming season. "I am excited for Mamadou's future as a Badger here at NVU-Johnson", said Smith. "His ability to rebound the basketball and defend in the post will add much needed depth to our frontcourt".

Mamadou N'Diaye knows that he will grow under the guidance of Smith and is ready for the transition to the college game.  "I think it'll be a great experience", said N'Diaye. "I am excited to compete at the next level and play for Coach Smith. I am just happy and thankful for the opportunity to join the Badger family".
