Men's Basketball Announces the Commitment of Floyd Davis for the 2019-2020 Season

JOHNSON, Vt.-The Northern Vermont University-Johnson men's basketball program and Head Coach Miles Smith recently received a commitment from Floyd Davis.

Davis is the eighth commitment for the Northern Vermont University-Johnson men's basketball program for the 2019-2020 season. A native of Riverdale, Georgia and a transfer from the College of Saint Joseph located in Rutland, Vermont, Davis will make an immediate impact for the Badgers this upcoming season.

Davis will pursue a degree in Psychology and made his decision to join the NVU-Johnson community on his initial visit due to the great campus and welcoming student body, faculty, and staff. "When I came for a visit it just felt like home", said Davis. "I am glad to be part of the wonderful Badger family".

Throughout his career, Davis was a National Association of Christian Athletes All-Tournament team selection and a two-time All-State Selection in Georgia. "Floyd brings a sense of toughness and a defensive mindset that we look for in our players", said Smith. "We are excited for the addition and believed throughout the recruiting process that he has the ability to guard every position on the floor".

Davis is an athletic 6-foot 4-inch wing that can stretch the defense and score in transition. He will look to add depth to the Badgers roster this upcoming season.

The Northern Vermont University-Johnson men's basketball team will announce additional commitments in the near future.
