Badgers Finish 6th at NAC Championship

BANGOR, Maine – The Johnson State College golf team finished 6th at the 2016 North Atlantic Conference (NAC) Championship, which was held at the Bangor Municipal Golf Course on Sunday afternoon. The Badgers finished with a second day team score of 327 and a score of 647 over the two-day tournament.

Husson University won the tournament with a team score of 564, 26 strokes ahead of 2nd place Salem State University. Husson's Daulton Wickenden earned medalist honors, finishing one stroke under par in the tournament.

Johnson State's Kiley Moody ( Wolcott, Vt.) scored a 71 (-1) on Sunday, which was good for the lowest score of the day and propelled him to a tie for sixth place in the championship. Austin Walters (Grantham N.H.) shot a 79 (+7) on day two to finish tied for 12th. Philip Lyon (South Burlington, Vt.), Colin Compagna (Morrisville,Vt.), and Nick Audet (Morrisville,Vt.) also competed for Johnson.
