POULTNEY, VT. – The Johnson State College men's golf team took won the 2017 Green Mountain College Spring Invititational at Lake St. Catherine Country Club on Saturday afternoon. The Badgers earned a team score of 336, besting runner up Green Mountain by 35 strokes.
Top Performers
Philip Lyon (South Burlington, Vt.), was the low man for Johnson, shooting a 78 on the day, finishing tied for 1st with Norwich's Kyle Lamorey. Lyon lost a one-hole playoff for the medalist honor. Austin Walters (Grantham, N.H.) shot an 80, while Kiley Moody (Wolcott, Vt.) carded an 84.
