Badgers Battle to Top Finish in Lou Jarvis Invitational

JAY,Vt.-The Northern Vermont University-Johnson men's golf team placed first in the Lou Jarvis invitational on Friday afternoon. David Albright earned medalist honors for the third time this season. The Badgers finished with a team score of 323.

 Senior David Albright (Grantham,N.H.) was outstanding throughout the entire invitational. Through the first nine holes Albright recorded a score of 37 leading all golfers. He continued to be consistent throughout the back nine recording a score of 39. Albright recorded birdies on five holes throughout the day. This is the third time this season that Albright has earned medalist honors and the second invitational in a row that he has earned medalist honors. The Badgers had great contributions from Philip Lyon (South Burlington,Vt.)  and Austin Walters (Grantham, N.H.) had the second and third best scores out of all golfers. Lyon finished with a score of 78 and Walters finished with a score of 79. Rounding out the Badgers was Kaden Swett (Brownington, Vt.). Swett finished the day with an overall score of 90.

The Badgers will compete for the North Atlantic Conference Championship on Saturday, October 13 and Sunday, October 14. The conference championship will begin at 10:30am on Saturday at the Country Club of Vermont.
