JOHNSON, Vt. – Visiting New England College defeated Johnson State College 22-1 in Saturdays North Atlantic Conference (NAC) contest in Men's Lacrosse. The Pilgrams improve to 3-5, 2-0 NAC while the Badgers fall to 1-3 overall and 0-2 in the NAC.
 
Johnson State loan goal was scored by senior Alex Petti (East Greenwich, R.I./ East Greenwich) with an assist coming from Matt Dekens (Johnson, Vt./ Lamoille). Zach Jerome ( Waterford, Conn./Waterford) made 31 saves on 53 shots from the Pilgrams.
 
New England College saw Steve Parsons (Townsend, Mass./ Holderness) score five goals on nine shots to lead the attack against the Badgers. While Matt Goyette (Lowell, Mass. /Lowell), James Putney (Mountain Lakes, N.J./ Mountain Lakes), Asa Weisberg (Warner, N.H./ Kearsarge Regional), Sam Freihorner (Scarsdale, N.Y./ Scarsdale), and Brian Gillis (North Vancouver, B.C. /Windsor Secondary) all netted two goals a piece to help lead the Pilgrams to a victory.
 
Johnson will now travel to non-conference foe Regis College (Mass.) on April 3rd, 2012 for a 4 pm contest while New England College will move on to play at non- conference Connecticute College (CT) on April 4th, 2012 for a 4:30 pm contest.
