Beavers Outlast Badgers

Johnson State men's lacrosse dropped a conference match to rival Me.-Farmington, Saturday at New England College's Don Melander Field. Johnson State drops to 0-7 overall and 0-4 in the NAC while Farmington improves to 2-6 overall and 2-4 in the NAC. 

Johnson State was led by Matthew Malek's four goals and Andrew Neddo's 2 goals. Jefferson Lawler led the Badgers with 18 ground balls while goaltender Jay Palmisano had 9 saves on the day.

The Beavers were led by two four-goal scorers, Sean Berce and Jake Linkletter. TC Peters led all players win assists with four for the visiting Beavers.

Johnson State opened up the game with a goal from Malek just one minute into play. Shortly after Farmington answered with a feed from Mike Foley to Seam Berce to tie things up 1-1 with 9:27 to play in the first period.  The Beavers used the next three periods to build a 14-5 lead on the hosts.  

Johnson's excitement came in the fourth period when it scored 5 goals in 15 minutes, chipping away at the visitor's lead one goal at a time.  The Badgers saw goals from Colin Dalmata, Andrew Neddo, Mason Phillips and senior Matt Malek.

Johnson State returns to action Wednesday, April 16th when it  travel to Lyndon St for a 3:00PM start time. Me.-Farmington, plays next when it hosts Husson University on Tuesday April 15th for a 4:00p faceoff.
