Judd Baggett Named Head Men's Lacrosse Coach

The Johnson State College athletic department announced Judd Baggett as the head men's lacrosse coach effective immediately.  Baggett replaces Micheal Loughran who served as head coach for three years at Johnson State. Bagget was formerly the assistant coach for Loughran. 

Athletic Director, Jamey Ventura is looking forward to welcoming Bagget to the department. Ventura said, "Judd has already earned the respect of his team and proven that he can make an impact with the positive progress he and Michael saw last year. We're excited to welcome Judd to the team and look forward to seeing what he can do for the program."

Prior to taking the helm at Johnson, Baggett served as the assistant coach for the Badgers during the 2014-15 year. Bagget attended Norwich University where he played lacrosse for four years as a defender. Bagget appeared in played in 40 games for the Cadets during his four seasons with Norwich.

"My vision for our program is to get better every day," Baggett said. "The main goal is to increase our team comradery while we do it. There is so much potential for this program to grow and I am excited to be part of the process. The group we have now has a passion for the sport and I am confident they have the drive to do whatever it takes."

Johnson posted a 3-8 season while going 2-6 in conference play. The Badgers were knocked out of playoff contension in a double-overtime loss to Lyndon St.
