Palmisano, Perkins and Leraeu Earn All-Conference Honors

Johnson State College juniors Jay Palmisano and Phillip Perkins and freshman Isaiah Leraeu all earned North Atlantic Conference (NAC) honors for the 2016 season. Read on for the full NAC All-Conference line-up. 

New England College sophomore Matt Richard has been selected as the North Atlantic Conference (NAC) Men's Lacrosse Player of the Year, while Pilgrim teammate Connor Fries was tabbed both Defensive Player of the Year and Rookie of the Year. Castleton senior Zach Devoid was voted the Senior Scholar Athlete of the Year, Lyndon head coach Kevin Pezanowski was chosen as the Coach of the Year and nine men's lacrosse student-athletes were named to the Sportsmanship Team to headline the 2016 All-Conference announcement.

Joining Fries (long-stick midfielder) and Richard (attack) on the first team were Castleton junior midfielder Louis Alhage, sophomore faceoff specialist Joshua Gosselin, freshman defender Malik Hines, senior goalkeeper Peter Latulippe, and freshman midfielder Jason Sedell, New England College senior defender James Carlson, junior attackman Sean Largay, and senior attackman Skyler Saunders, Husson senior defender Derek Johnson, and Maine Maritime freshman midfielder Brendan Broderick. 

Second team selections include Castleton freshman long-stick midfielder Peyton Faasse, Husson senior attackman Brandon Corbo and senior midfielder Brett Martin, Johnson State junior defender Phillip Perkins and junior goalkeeper Jay Palmisano, Lyndon freshman attackman Spencer Aubin, freshman defender Marshall Blackman, freshman midfielder Shea Jones, and sophomore attackman Kevin McCarthy, New England College freshman goalkeeper William Platt and freshman faceoff specialist Austin Frankel, and Thomas sophomore midfielder Colby Blondin and senior defender Sheldon Jones.

New to the conference this season is the selection of a Sportsmanship Team which is reserved for those who have distinguished themselves through demonstrated acts of sportsmanship and ethical behavior. The honorees are individuals who have positively affected the men's lacrosse culture and game environment and whose behavior clearly demonstrates sportsmanship and integrity that go beyond the playing rules and etiquette.
