BOSTON, MASS. – The Johnson State College men's lacrosse team fell to Emerson College 18-1 in a non-conference game on Tuesday night.
The Badgers go to 0-4 on the season while the Lions move to 4-2.
1st Quarter
Emerson scored eight in the first quarter, including four from Cameron Radenberg.
2nd Quarter
The Lions opened the second with a goal by Jared Brush 29 seconds in. The Badgers answered back 16 second later on a goal by Travis Brown (Culpeper, Va.) assisted by Rhys Keenhold (Braintree, Vt.). Emerson added two more in the quarter to take an 11-1 lead into the break.
3rd Quarter
Brush scored four of Emerson's five goals in the third to give the Lions a 16-1 lead.
4th Quarter
Johnson held Emerson to just two goals in the fourth to take the 18-1 victory.
Goalkeepers
Jordan Maue gave up a goal on nine shots to earn the win. Jay Palmisano (Barre, Vt.) stopped 14 and was tagged with the loss.
Stats Breakdown
Emerson outshot the Badgers 43-18 overall (32-9 on goal) and earned a 36-22 edge in groundballs. The Badgers went 0-4 on the man advantage while not giving Emerson a man up opportunity.
