JOHNSON, VT. – The Johnson State College men's lacrosse team fell to Castleton University 11-2 in a North Atlantic Conference (NAC) game on Thursday afternoon.
The Badgers go to 0-8 (0-5 NAC) on the season while the Spartans move to 7-8 (4-1 NAC).
1st Quarter
The Spartans got on the board first with a goal by Tyler Crowningshield one-minute in. Travis Brown (Culpeper, Va.) scored two straight to give the Badgers a 2-1 lead after one.
2nd Quarter
The Spartans retook the lead with three goals in the second to take a 4-2 lead at the half.
3rd Quarter
Castleton tacked on three more in the third, including two from Isaac Devoid.
4th Quarter
The Spartans closed the game with four more unanswered to bring the final score to 11-2.
Goalkeepers
Dakota Jones earned the win for Castleton, making three saves on five shots. Jay Palmisano (Barre, Vt.) made ten saves in the loss.

The Spartans recorded 21 shots on goal to Johnson's five and earned a 33-2 edge in groundballs. The Spartans went 1-1 on the man advantage while the Badgers didn't receive a man up opportunity.
