MLAX: Picard Scores Three in Badgers Loss to SUNY Canton

CANTON, N.Y. – The Johnson State College men's lacrosse team feel to SUNY Canton 24-6 in a non-conference game on Sunday afternoon.

The Badgers drop to 0-3 on the season while the Roos improve to 6-2.

1st Quarter

SUNY Canton put up five goals on 23 shots to take a 5-0 lead into the second. 

2nd Quarter

After the Roos scored seven straight in the second, before Kyle Picard (Hyde Park, Vt.) got the Badgers on the board on a goal assisted by Travis Benson (Underhill, Vt.) to make the score 12-1 going into the break.

3rd Quarter

The Roos scored another seven unanswered to take a 19-1 lead after three.

4th Quarter

The teams traded goals in the fourth, with each team picking up five in the frame. The Badgers got two goals from Picard and tallies from Benson, Tyler Cirillo (Colchester, Vt.) and Dylan Griffen (Bradford, Vt.) to make the final score 24-6.

Goalkeepers

The Roos split time by four goaltenders with Kody Kocsis (6-2) taking the win after stopping one shot in the first quarter. Patrick Bell (0-3) made ten saves in the loss.
