MLAX: Johnson Concludes Season with Loss to Lyndon

LYNDONVILLE, Vt. – The Johnson State College men's lacrosse team ended their season with a 23-3 loss to Lyndon State College on Monday afternoon.

With the loss, the Badgers finish the season 0-10 (0-7 NAC) while the Hornets improve to 6-8 (3-4 NAC).

1st Quarter

Lyndon netted three goals to start off the quarter but Ethan Wehse (Stowe, Vt.) would get Johnson on the board. The Hornets would add one more making it 4-1 heading into the second stanza.

2nd Quarter

Johnson was unable to stop Lyndon's attack, giving up nine goals in the second to give the host's a 13-1 lead at the half.

3rd Quarter

Wehse would add another goal for the Badgers but the Hornets scored five times making the score 18-2 heading into the final frame.

4th Quarter

Lyndon put the ball in the net five more times in the fourth. Travis Benson (Underhill, Vt.) added a goal in the period for Johnson but it wasn't enough as the Badgers fell 23-3 at the end of regulation.

Goalkeepers

Marcus Bessette got the win for the Hornets, saving eight out of the 11 shots on goal he faceded. Patrick Bell earned the loss for Johnson, saving 20 out of 43 shots on goal.
