Badgers Blanked By Skidmore 2-0

PLATTSBURGH, N.Y. - Johnson men's soccer was shutout 2-0 by Skidmore College on Saturday in the second game of the Plattsburgh State Cardinal Classic.  The Badgers now stand at 0-2, 0-0 North Atlantic Conference while Skidmore is 2-0, 0-0 Liberty League.

The Thoroughbreds outshot Johnson 24-0 for the day and scored both goals in the first half.  The first came at 15:09 when Ike Okpoebo (Chelmsford, Mass.) beat Johnson keeper Alex Pakatar (Troy, N.Y./LaSalle) courtesy of a Joe Phalen (Goshen, Conn.) feed to put Skidmore on top.  Then at 36:39 Gildas Girimana (Bronx, N.Y.) scored to make it 2-0 with an assist coming from Andrew Pertsov (Tenafly, N.J.).

Pakatar would record seven saves on the day while Eli Kisselbach (Stamford, Conn.) played the majority of the contest to earn the win.

Johnson moves on to face St. Michael's College on Tuesday at 4:00 pm.
