POULTNEY, Vt. - Johnson men's soccer suffered a tough 1-0 loss at Green Mountain College on Saturday 1-0 in the North Atlantic Conference (NAC) opener for both teams.  The Badgers are now 0-6, 0-1 NAC and Green Mountain is now 1-3, 1-0 NAC.

The Eagles Oliver Osnoss scored the match's only goal with two minutes remaining in regulation knocking home a deflected pass past Johnson keeper Ryan Belen (Northvale, N.J./Northern Valley).

The Badgers were able to earn a 7-3 corner kick advantage on the day while also outshooting Green Mountain 12-8 for the contest.

GMC keeper Nate Kishbaugh recorded seven saves to earn the shutout victory while Belen stopped three shots.

Johnson will return home to face non-conference opponent SUNY Canton on Sunday with kick-off slated for 11:30 am.  The Eagles will move on to host Bard College tomorrow at 2:00 pm.
