Nighthawks Post 3-0 Win On Johnson Turf

Johnson men's soccer fell behind 3-0 in the first half of their match on Sunday afternoon against visiting Newbury College and that is where it finished as the Nighthawks topped the Badgers in non-conference action.  JSC is 0-5, 0-0 North Atlantic Conference (NAC) while Newbury improves to 1-3 overall.

Thomas received goals from Ethan Forrest, Emmett Dixon and Milton Ricaurte to pick up the victory. Dixon, Forrest and Bryan Barrios each contributed assists towards the Nighthawks' win.  

Johnson keeper Ryan Belen tried to keep the Badgers in it making seven saves in the loss while his counterpart Cody Nash-Gibney made just four saves securing a shutout and the win for Newbury.

Newbury was able to control action for much of the contest earning a 21-15 shot advantage and 5-1 edge in corner kicks.

Johnson will play again on Thursday at home against non-conference opponent Vermont Tech while Newbury will move on to host Emerson College on Wednesday September 11th at 4:00pm.
