NORTH ADAMS, MASS. – The Johnson State College men's soccer team fell to MCLA 8-0 in the first game of the CIAO Classic on Saturday afternoon.

The Badgers drop to 1-3 overall, while MCLA improves to 2-2.

SCORING

1st Half: - The Trailblazers struck early just 40 seconds into the contest on a goal by Anthony Basile. MCLA would spread six more goals throughout the period to go into halftime up 7-0.

2nd Half: The Badgers held MCLA to just one goal in the second half, with Augustin Ndayikeza picking up the score in the 50th minute.

GOALKEEPERS

Gerrit Lane (Moretown, Vt.) started in net and stopped ten of 18 shots in the losing effort for Johnson. Kamron Anderson picked up the win for MCLA.
