Badgers Blanked by Worcester State

WORCESTER, MASS. – The Johnson State College men's soccer team fell to Worcester State 8-0 in a non-conference match on Wednesday afternoon.

The Badgers drop to 1-5 overall, while Worcester improves to 2-1.

SCORING

1st Half: - Worcester's Bryan Brasil scored two goals with Etjon Rapi adding another to go into halftime up 3-0.

2nd Half: The Lancers put five more goals on the board in the second half, including two more from Brasil and another score by Rapi. Zach Rodas and George Siotis added goals in the final ten minutes to bring the final to 8-0.

GOALKEEPERS

Gerrit Lane (Moretown, Vt.) stopped nine of 17 shots on goal while being tagged with the loss for Johnson. Henri Guilmette stopped all three Badger shots in his first win of the season for Worcester.

The Badgers will open North Atlantic Conference play on Saturday, September 17th when they host Thomas College at 1:00 PM.
