Badgers Drop First Conference Match

JOHNSON, Vt. – The Johnson State College men's soccer team fell to visiting Thomas College 0-10 in their in-conference opener on Saturday afternoon.

The Badgers drop to 1-6 overall and 0-1 in the North Atlantic Conference (NAC) while Worcester improves to 1-2-1 overall and 1-0 in the NAC.

SCORING

1st Half: - Thomas's DJ Nicholas and Nawfal El-Antri scored two goals each while Tevin Reid and London Steede-Jackson both score once making it a 6-0 Thomas lead going into halftime.

2nd Half: Thomas put four more goals on the board in the second half which were scored by Josh Morrissey, Ibrahim Moustapher, Baramee Janla, and Rasmus Loso.

Diondre Dowling had 3 assists for Thomas.

GOALKEEPERS

Gerrit Lane (Moretown, Vt.) stopped 15 out of Thomas's 22 shots on goal and was tabbed with the loss. Joakim Sternas stopped all four Johnson shots and was credited a win.

The Badgers will travel to Green Mountain for an in-conference match up slated to start at 1:00pm on Tuesday the 27th.
