Badgers Fall to Chargers

NEW LONDON, N.H. – The visiting Johnson State College men's soccer team fell to Colby-Sawyer College 11-0 on Saturday afternoon in a North Atlantic Conference (NAC) contest.

With the loss, the Badgers drop to 2-9 overall and 1-4 in the NAC, while Colby-Sawyer improves to 5-4-1 overall and 2-1-1 in the conference.

SCORING 

1st Half: - Colby-Sawyer scored nine goals in the opening frame, including three players who scored two goals each; Denali Sexton, Andrew Clothier, and Devin Kelly.

2nd Half: The Badgers were able to hold Colby-Sawyer to just two goals in the second half, but were unable to come up with any of their own making the final score 11-0 in the hosts favor.

GOALKEEPERS

Gerrit Lane (Moretown, Vt.) stopped 19 out of 30 shots on goal and was tabbed with the loss. Shane Sacks earned the win for Colby-Sawyer, stopping Johnsons two shots on goal. Sean Babinski also was in goal for the Chargers in the second half and stopped the other two Johnson shots on goal.

The Badgers will travel to New England College for a NAC contest on Sunday, October 9th, which is slated to start at 12:00 PM.
