JOHNSON, Vt. – The Johnson State College men's soccer team defeated Paul Smith's College 6-0 in a non-conference match on Sunday afternoon at Minaert Field. Dominic Caforia (Waterbury, Vt.) scored a two goals and tallied two assists in the win.
SCORING
1st Half: The Badgers (6-4. 1-1 NAC) took a 1-0 lead in the 23rd minute when Collin Campbell (Killington, Vt.) scored off of a pass from Rob Buonanno (Wolcott, Vt.) Johnson picked up their second just five minutes later Caforia received a long ball from Angelus Irakoze (Burlington, Vt.) to make the score over Paul Smith's (4-3, 2-2 YSCC) 2-0 at the half.
2nd Half: The Badgers scored quick in the second half with a goal from Campbell. Buonanno scored twice in one minute to make it 5-0 with just over 30 minutes left in regulation. Caforia scored the last goal in the 75th minute to make the final score 6-0 for Johnson.
