
JOHNSON, Vt. – The Johnson State College men's soccer team fell to UMaine-Farmington 2-1 in overtime in a North Atlantic Conference (NAC) game on Saturday afternoon at Minaert Field.
SCORING
1st Half: No scoring.
2nd Half: Andrew Longhurst scored on a penalty kick in the 55th minute following a handball in the box by Johnson (6-8, 1-5 NAC) to give the Beavers (7-6, 2-3 NAC) a 1-0 lead. The Badgers evened things up in the 80th minute after a free kick from the right wing found its way to Elliot Hanna (Milton, Vt.) who ripped a shot past the UMF keeper to tie the game 1-1.
Overtime
The Beavers scored in the ninth minute of overtime when Christian Wallenmaier collected a rebound after a two-on-one opportunity and buried the game winner.

SENIOR CELEBRATION
Prior to the game, Johnson seniors Hunter Buffum (Jamaica, Vt.), Dominic Caforia (Waterbury, Vt.) and Christian Wakeman (East Bridgewater, Mass.) were recognized for playing in their final home match at Minaert Field.
