Badgers Secure Overtime Win Over Unity College

UNITY, ME- The Northern Vermont University-Johnson men's soccer team played their second game of the weekend against Unity College. The Badgers came out on top 4-3 in a hard-fought overtime win. 

 Unity College scored the first goal of the game as the Badgers went down 0-1 early. Freshman Wyatt Moberg (Acton, MA) scored the Badgers first goal of the game. The goal was assisted by Rob Buonanno (Wolcott, Vt.). NVU-Johnson continued to find the back of the net. Tristan Salgado (Essex,Vt.) was a force for the Badgers. Salgado scored the Badgers next two goals one assisted by Buonanno giving him his second assist on the day. Junior Daniel Arriola (Romeoville, Illinois) assisted on Salgado's second goal of the game. 

 Unity continued to chip away while being down by a score of 3-1. They scored the next two goals to force overtime. In overtime Salgado was too much for Unity and scored the go-ahead goal to give NVU-Johnson the win. The goal was assisted by John Folsom (Califon, N.J.). With the win the Badgers improve to 6-2 overall.
