Buonanno, Arriola, Folsom Highlight North Atlantic Conference Awards

JOHNSON,Vt.-The Northern Vermont University-Johnson men's soccer team had three players represent the North Atlantic Conference All-Conference team for the 2018 season. 

 The Badgers were led by North Atlantic Conference First Team All-Conference selections junior Robert Buonanno (Wolcott, Vt.) and junior Daniel Arriola (Romeoville, IL). Buonanno was a scoring punch for the Badgers all season. He provided 12 goals and 4 assists for the Badgers which ranked him first in goals in the NAC and top five in assists. Buonanno scored two goals in four different matches this season for the Badgers and earned NAC Player of the Week honors once this season. Arriola tied for sixth in the conference in goals (8) and also assisted on 4 goals this season. Arriola netted three goals in two different contests this season while also earning NAC Player of the Week honors once.

North Atlantic Conference Second Team selection John Folsom (Califon, N.J.) held down the defense for the Badgers this season. Folsom's competitiveness and physical play was an important piece to the Badgers team as a whole. Folsom also recorded one goal and two assists for the Badgers.

Junior Evan Daigneault (Newfane, Vt.) was selected for the NAC Men's Soccer Sportsmanship Team. The NAC Men's Soccer Sportsmanship Team is reserved for those who have distinguished themselves through demonstrated acts of sportsmanship and ethical behavior. The honorees have positively affected the soccer culture and environment, and clearly demonstrate sportsmanship and integrity.
