Adrian Popowycz Commits to Men's Soccer for the 2019 Season

JOHNSON, Vt.-The Northern Vermont University-Johnson men's soccer team and Head Coach Shane Bufano have tabbed another commitment for the 2019 season.

Adrian Popowycz has signed the necessary paperwork and will be an immediate impact player for the Badgers this upcoming season. Adrian comes to Northern Vermont University-Johnson from McLean, Virginia where he was a member of the Langley High School Boys Varsity Soccer program. Adrian brings a plethora of playing experiences across the East Coast and abroad.  Adrian played for many years as a starter for his club team, Bruno United FC in Rhode Island. Most recently in 2017, the team won the New England Premiership, and clinched a victory in the Rhode Island US Club Soccer State Cup advancing to Nationals.

In addition, Adrian has competed with the Rhode Island ODP team.  He also spent time playing abroad in England as he participated in the Chelsea FC Development Program in their EPL Youth Academy.

On the high school circuit, Adrian currently plays for Langley High School in Virginia as he recently moved to the area.  Previously, he was at East Greenwich High School in Rhode Island.  At both schools he has been a starter on their respective Varsity teams.  We welcome Adrian as he is going to contribute immediately for the Badgers.

"My staff and I are extremely excited to welcome Adrian Popowycz to Northern Vermont University-Johnson", Said Head Coach Bufano. "His speed and technical ability will be an extreme asset to our young core. We have high expectations for Adrian to contribute immediately".

Adrian is undecided on what major he will pursue when arrived at NVU-Johnson.
