Men's Soccer Announces the Commitment of Kashief Brooks

JOHNSON, Vt.-The Northern Vermont University-Johnson men's soccer program and Head Coach Shane Bufano have tabbed another commitment for the 2019 season.

Kashief Brooks has signed the necessary paperwork and has committed to the Badgers for this upcoming season. Brooks comes to Northern Vermont University-Johnson from the state of Connecticut where he had an impressive high school career at Ansonia High School. Once arrived at NVU-Johnson, Brooks will pursue a degree in Business.

"Our staff is extremely excited to have Kashief attend NVU-Johnson this fall", said Coach Bufano. "His goal scoring acumen is top notch as he has played at an extremely high level".

Originally from Jamaica, Kashief returns home for the summers to play with the Duhaney Park FC Academy in Jamaica. The club is a well know team as its top level senior team competes in the KSAFA Super League.

Throughout his high school career, Brooks was a member on the Ansonia High School boys' varsity soccer program for three years. This past season he led the Chargers with impressive statistics netting 16 goals and adding seven assists. He was named to the Connecticut Association of Public Schools All-Copper Division team for his performance on the field.

Coach Bufano is excited for the addition of Brooks "Kashief will make an immediate impact on our front line with his speed and scoring ability".

In addition to playing soccer, Kashief was on the varsity Track and Field team at Ansonia High School.

The Northern Vermont University-Johnson men's soccer program will announce additional commitments in the near future.
