Men's Soccer Drops Road Conference Game

WATERVILLE, Vt.-The Northern Vermont University-Johnson men's soccer team dropped a conference game on the road to Thomas College by a score of 8-1 on Sunday afternoon.

SCORING

1st Half: The Terriers opened up scoring early in the first half as Woodlin Placide netted the first goal of the afternoon in the 4thminute of action off an assist from Eric LaBrie. LaBrie scored a goal of his own three minutes later scoring in the 7thminute. Zenawi Brown extended the Terrier lead in the 9thminute off an unassisted goal and Placide scored his second goal of the contest off an assist Bowen in the 13thminute pushing the lead to 4-0. The Terriers scored one more goal to take a 5-0 lead headed into the break.

 

2nd Half: The Terriers continued to be impressive in the second stint of action as Benjamin Vigue scored in the 79thminute off an assist from Josh Morrissey. Arthur Clayton broke through the defense in the 81stminute to score the only goal for NVU-Johnson on the afternoon. The Terriers capitalized on two more goals in the contest to take the win by a score of 8-1.

 

GOALKEEPERS

Zach Blaser recorded two saves and played 90:00min for the Badgers. Thomas College had three different players in goal. Jonathan LeClair earned the win, recording one save and playing 61:49 in goal for the Terriers.
