Men's Soccer Edged in Road Conference Match

BANGOR, ME- The Northern Vermont University-Johnson men's soccer team traveled to Husson University on Saturday afternoon and fell to the Eagles in a North Atlantic Conference match by a score of 3-1.

 

SCORING

1st Half: It was the Eagles who set the tone in the first half of action. Cai Pritchard recorded his first goal of the contest in the 23rdminute. Pritchard's goal was the lone goal of the half. The Badgers recorded one shot to the Eagles eight.

2nd Half: Pritchard continued to be impressive in the second half earning the hat trick with goals in the 50thminute and 73rdminute. Aibek Allan Bijanov capitalized on a goal for the Badgers in the 89thminute off an assist from Robert Buonanno.

 

With the loss men's soccer falls to 6-7-1 and 2-5 in conference play.

 

GOALKEEPERS

Zach Blaser recorded five saves and played 90:00min for the Badgers. Benjamin Powell earned the win for the Eagles playing the full contest in goal and recording one save.
