Men's Soccer Land Gabriel Adancourt for 2020 Campaign

JOHNSON, Vt.- The Northern Vermont University-Johnson men's soccer program and Head Coach Shane Bufano have received an additional commitment for the upcoming 2020 season.

Gabriel Adancourt a native of Port St. Lucie, Florida and a member of the Jensen Beach High School varsity soccer program has signed the necessary paperwork and committed to NVU-Johnson for the upcoming fall. When arrived at NVU-Johnson, Gabriel will pursue a degree in Economics. 

"I chose NVU because they have given me an opportunity to continue to play soccer while furthering my education and I have always wanted to attend college in the northeast." Said Adancourt. 

Gabriel rounds out the goalkeeping core for the Badgers. Adancourt was a three-year Varsity letter winner for Jensen Beach High School.  He has captained his high school squad the past two seasons as a Junior and Senior.  The Falcons were 10-9-1 this past season and fell in the Florida 4A District 13 Championship to North Broward Prep.  He was also selected in 2020 as Four-Time Nominee for Athlete of the Week for TC Palm of the USA Today Network for his goalkeeper performances.  He is currently a club player for the Massive Premier Academy in Florida.  He also been a former athlete with other clubs in Florida such as Martin United and FC Florida based out of Martin County.

"Gabe will add depth to a great core of goalkeepers on our squad for this upcoming class.  He has great size and has played a high level in Florida," said Bufano. We are eager to get him on campus to work with our staff and other goalkeepers as we know they will all push each other to improve.  There is going to be great competition within the team for the GK spot."

The Northern Vermont University-Johnson men's soccer program and Head Coach Shane Bufano plan to announce additional commitments in the near future.
