Badgers Fall to Paul Smith College 1 to 3

The Men's Johnson Badgers soccer team falls 1 to 3 against Paul Smith College on their home opener at Minaert Field. It was a close game with both teams having 14 shots Paul Smith having 7 of those on goal and the Badgers having 9 of the 14 on goal. The competitive spirit has come out early in the season with aggressive play passion throughout the game. With Paul Smith having 20 fouls and our Badgers having 25 fouls.

Paul Smith came out swinging first 16 minutes into the first half Tyler Vogle scoring the first goal. But 8 minutes later our own Johnson Badgers came back with Aidin Joyce tying the game at 1-1. It was a close game but 10 minutes later Paul Smith was able to break free and score another goal by Foster Hutchins, assisted by Jake Lewis. It was a tough battle the rest of the game with the Badgers trying to claw their way back but with 7 minutes left of the match Paul Smith ended up putting the nail in the coffin with Nick Grover scoring, assisted by Tim Romero.

Carlos Dominguez was able to get 4 saves with 2 goals allowed Aidin Joyce had 4 shots on goal with one being a goal, Eliud Villarreal had 2 shots on goal, Silas Lowenthal had 1 shot on goal, Lucas Gehring had one shot on goal, and Wyatt Moberg has one shot on goal.
