Thomas College men's tennis was able to garner their first victory of the season, defeating Johnson State College, 9-0 in a non-conference match on Saturday afternoon at Harold Alfond Athletic Center.
 
The Terriers cruised through the doubles matches, with the hosts only losing a combined two sets. In #1 doubles the combination of Eric Morin and Tyler Small defeated Cole Henessy and Cory Chase, while Jonte Roussel and Federico Trujillo scored the same in the third doubles match. Malcolm Marshall, paired with Caleb Mora swept their match in #2 doubles, 8-0.
 
In singles play, Morin won 6-0 in both sets in the top singles pairing against Henessy, while Small scored the same in #2 singles versus Chase. Marshall also did not yield a point in #3 singles, going 6-0 and 6-0.
 
In the final three singles spots, Roussel took down Zach Baughn, 6-0 and 6-1, while Mora defeated Alex Harcout 6-1 and 6-0. Trujillo won his match in #6 singles, beating Matthew Miller 7-5, 6-3.

Thomas returns to the courts on next Saturday, March 29 as they host defending NAC Champion Colby-Sawyer in their conference season opener at 1:00 PM while Johnson will face the University of Southern Maine tomorrow at 11:00a.
