Badgers Fall to Terriers

The Thomas men's tennis team cruised to a 9-0 victory in their North Atlantic Conference opener Saturday afternoon at the Alfond Athletic Center.

In doubles match play, the Terriers (3-4, 1-0 NAC) lost just a combined four games as they went on to take all three doubles matches.

The number one doubles team of Eric Morin and Tyler Small defeated Gerrit Lane and Cole Hennessy 8-1, as did number to doubles team Zachary Disch and Federico Trujillo over Alex Pakatar and Nihad Basic.

Jonete Roussel and Caleb Cough took down Zach Baughn and Alex Harcourt 8-2 to complete the doubles sweep. Thomas was even more impressive in singles play, as the six singles players lost a combined two games as the Terriers went on to take all six singles matches and earn the 9-0 team victory. Morin, Disch, Cough and Caleb Mora all won 6-0, 6-0 in their respective singles matches, while Small won 6-1, 6-0 and Joseph Mora won 6-0, 6-1.

Thomas will have have a quick turnaround, returning to the court on Sunday, March 29 to take on Rhode Island College at 1:00 PM. Johnson will host Thomas College on April 3rd at Collins Perly in St. Alban's Vt.
