Christopher Chambers Commits to Men's Tennis for 2022 Campaign

JOHNSON, Vt.- The Northern Vermont University-Johnson men's tennis team and Head Coach Michele Whitmore have earned a commitment for the 2022 season.

Christopher Chambers a native of Dobson, North Carolina and a student-athlete at Surry Central High School has signed the necessary paperwork and will arrive on the NVU-Johnson campus in the fall of 2021. When arrived, Chambers plans to pursue a degree in Sports Management and also has a strong interest in Sports Medicine.

"I chose NVU-Johnson because it feels like a home away from home," said Chambers. "Even though I haven't experienced the campus life, yet I feel like it is a great opportunity for me to grow as a person and take the next step in my education. I like to travel, and this will be a journey that is away from home and will give me that independent feeling knowing that if I do need help NVU-Johnson staff and students will always be there to help."

Chambers is also excited about the opportunity to compete for Coach Whitmore. "I am happy and excited to join Coach Whitmore and the team. I know she is a great person and a great coach, and I am proud to be given the chance to be part of the team. I have always loved playing sports no matter the sport. I am glad to carry that on with the Badger family."

Chambers becomes the first commitment for the men's tennis program and will make an immediate impact for the Badgers in 2022.

Head Coach Michele Whitmore plans to announce additional commitments in the near future.
