Badgers Open Up 2019 Inaugural Season at Sage Tri-Match

ALBANY, N.Y.- The Northern Vermont University-Johnson men's volleyball team fell in their first tri-match of the 2019 inaugural season. With new head coach Keven John at the helm, the NVU-Johnson men's volleyball team opened action on the road at Sage Saturday afternoon. The Badgers dropped their matches against Purchase College.

 Purchase College 25-10, 25-12, 25-19

The Badgers were led by Ryan Willette (Wolfeboro, N.H.) who contributed two kills. Garrison French (New Berlin, NY) was the team leader in both assists and digs with two of each. Purchase took an early lead and kept it through three sets. As a team, Purchase added 22 kills on 44 total attacks and the Badgers recorded five kills on 33 total attacks. Andreo Otiniano was the team leader for Purchase College as he added four kills and 11 assists.
