Andrew Mika Commits to Men's Volleyball for 2019-2020 Season.

JOHNSON, Vt.-The Northern Vermont University-Johnson men's volleyball team has gained their most recent commitment from Andrew Mika. Andrew comes to NVU-Johnson from Clifton Park, New York.

Andrew Mika has signed the necessary paperwork and will be a member of the 2019-2020 Northern Vermont University-Johnson men's volleyball team. 

A product of Shenendehowa High School, Andrew was a four-sport athlete and was a top player on his varsity volleyball team. Andrew played his club volleyball on the Capital Sliders. Outside of volleyball, Andrew has many different interests and passions that include cooking, strength and conditioning personal training, and enjoys learning about the human body. 

At the age of fourteen, Andrew achieved the rank of an eagle scout and is also certified as a pool and waterfront lifeguard. Andrew has only been playing volleyball for a short period of time. He started playing four years ago where he quickly found a love for the sport. He was named the Sienna Volleyball Camp Player of the Week and also participated in the USA Volleyball Camp in Chicago, Illinois. His approach touch is 11' and he can block at a height of 10'8.

Andrew Mika intends to study Biology at Northern Vermont University-Johnson and has a goal to pursue a graduate degree at Rocky Vista University when his undergraduate studies are complete at NVU-Johnson.
