CASTLETON, Vt. - The Johnson men's cross country team ran to a fourth place finish at the Castleton Invitational on Saturday with a final score of 76. Castleton won the race with a 42 besting Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts' 49. Green Mountain came in third with a 50.
MCLA's Anthony Cancilla (Pittsfield, Mass.) came in first overall in a time of 30:21 edging Green Mountain's Forest Teutsch (Reading, Mass.) by 16 seconds and Castleton's Noah King (St. Albans, Vt.) came in third.
Johnson's top runner on the day was Steven Lamonde (Hingham, Mass./Hingham) coming in fourth place overall at 32:23. Zach Shuttle (St. Albans, Vt./BFA-St. Albans) finished in 13th place (35:34), Kayden Keith (Morrisville, Vt./Peoples) (pictured) was 16th place (36:07), Alex Lagase (Milford, Conn./Foran) came in 19th (37:06), and John Dabrowski (Williston, Vt./CVU) was 25th (40:33).
