COLCHESTER, VT. – The Johnson State College women's and men's cross country teams placed 5th and 6th, respectively, at the Vermont Intercollegiate Championship on Friday afteroon.
WOMEN'S RECAP
Emily McCarthy (Farmington, Maine) was first to cross the finish line for the Badgers coming in 33rd with a time of 26:47.3 in the 6K race. Other runners for the Badgers included Brynn Cairns (Rutland, Vt.) Sarah Sodaro (Monkton, Vt.), Briana Walsh (Allenstown, N.H.), Kate Abdel-Fatah (Randolph, Vt.), Alyssa August (Granby, Conn.), and Chelby Nystrom (Brookline, Vt.).
MENS RECAP
Jacob Greenia (Sheldon, Vt.) and Jason Harris (Lyndonville, Vt.) were the top finishers for Johnson, finishing 52nd and 58th with times of 32:31.2 and 34:26.9, respectively. Kyle Duffy (Waterbury Center, Vt.), Erik Crosby (Springfield, Vt.), and Cole Shebak (Brookline, N.H.) also scored for Johnson State.
