Badgers run in North Atlantic Conference Championship

BELFAST, Maine -- The Husson University Eagles claimed the 2018 North Atlantic Conference (NAC) Men's Cross Country Championship on Sunday, October 28. The Northern Vermont University-Johnson cross country team finished in 8th place overall.

 Jarrod Ottman of Thomas won the NAC individual title with a time of 27:26.80. The Eagles earned first place after scoring 65 points with two runners in the top seven. The 8k championship race included 66 total runners, representing eight schools. The men's runner-up was Maine Maritime, as the Mariners turned in a 72, while SUNY Canton was third (79), NVU-Lyndon was fourth (99), followed by Thomas (102), UMaine-Farmington (108), UMaine-Presque Isle (141), and NVU-Johnson (228).

Kenneth Chandler (Morrisville,Vt.) was the top finisher for the Badgers. Chandler finished in 32nd place with a time of 33:15. Travis Benson finished in 46th place with a time of 37:04 while Sheldon Billings was right behind with a 49th place finish and a time of 38:20. Richard Radcliff (Danbury, Conn) finished in a three way tie for 50th place with a time of 40:28.
