Badgers Battle Hanover College

Clermont, FL.- The Northern Vermont University-Johnson women's softball team dropped their second matchup of the day to Hanover College by a score of 19-0 on Sunday afternoon.

The Badger had good contributions from pitcher Nicole Mooney (Hillsborough, NH) and shortstop Lindsey LaPerle (Bethel, Vt.). LaPerle led the Badgers and took charge in the infield for most of the game. Mooney controlled the mound for the Badgers for the first time this season.

Hanover College came out strong taking a demanding 10-0 lead after the first inning. Throughout the second inning it was no different as Hanover controlled the pace and had strong offensive contributions to put runs on the board. After the second frame of action the Badgers began to make strong contributions defensively and held Hanover scoreless for the remainder of the game.

Unfortunately, the Badgers struggled to score and remained scoreless through five innings. With the loss the Badgers fall to 0-2 overall and Hanover College improves to 1-1 on the season.
