Claremont, FL- The Northern Vermont University-Johnson women's softball team early attack wasn't enough as they fell to the Mitchell College by a score of 15-0 on Saturday afternoon.
Mitchell College started the contest off hot scoring four runs in the first inning. The Badgers were held scoreless in the first inning but had good contributions from Laura Dattililo (South Burlington,Vt.) and Julianna Reed (Morrisville, Vt.) as they both earned a hit for the Badgers in the bottom of the second inning. Kaitlin Boucher (Barre, Vt.) earned a walk loading the bases for the Badgers. The Badgers were unable to score on this great scoring opportunity.
The bats continued to be hot for Mitchell College as they recorded 16 hits and recorded 11 more runs to secure the win over the Badgers 15-0 for the afternoon.
