NVU-Johnson Falls to SUNY Canton in Final Game of Doubleheader

CANTON, NY- The Northern Vermont University-Johnson softball team fell in the final game of the conference doubleheader on Tuesday evening. 

The Badgers opened up the game scoring the first run off a single up the middle from Mary Richardson that scored Nicole Mooney who was on base due to a fielding error by SUNY Canton.

The Roos scored two runs in the first inning, three runs in the third inning and then broke the game out with a strong performance scoring nine runs to secure the win over the Badgers by a score of 14-1.  Jaedyn Ossont hit her second homerun of the day and drove in four runs to lead the Roos to the win. Jordan Knapp had an impressive performance going 2-3 on the evening. 

With the loss the Badgers fall to 3-15 and 2-2 in conference play.

NVU-Johnson softball is set to host Thomas College in a NAC doubleheader with games scheduled for 3:00pm and 5:00pm.
