NVU-Johnson Routed by Thomas College

JOHNSON, Vt.- The Badgers and Terriers squared off in the final game of the conference doubleheader on Friday afternoon. A strong seventh inning from the Terriers ultimately was the deciding factor as they closed the game winning 20-0.

Both sides were even throughout most of the first four innings. The Terriers struck early scoring two runs off of Badger errors. The Badgers couldn't find a rhythm as the first six batters were retired. Without having luck at the plate NVU-Johnson were strong defensively making routine outs to hold the Terriers in the next three innings.

With the Terriers up in the top of the fifth Kelsey Currier started strong singled and then advanced due to a Badger overthrow that brought the Terriers first run of the inning in. The Terriers ended up scoring two more before the Badgers got out of the top of the inning. Kaitlin Boucher singled to right field in the bottom of the fifth but it wasn't enough as Currier recorded the final out of the inning striking out Jordan Galluzo.

The Terriers would score 15 runs in the final inning to conclude the game by a score of 20-0. Currier recorded 14 strikeouts for the Terriers.

With the loss the Badgers fall to 3-18 and 2-5 in NAC play
