CLERMONT, FL.-The Northern Vermont University-Johnson women's softball team capped of Wednesday's games against Hanover College. The contest would be rained out in the bottom of the third inning with Hanover leading by a score of 15-0.
The offensive outburst happened in the bottom of the second inning as freshman Nikki Bridgers hit a single that scored junior Brittany Ralston before a Rachel Cox double plated another Hanover run. Shelby Edington opened the day with a double and a triple for two of the team's 12 hits en route to the 15-0 victory.
Mia Blackwell earned the only hit for the Badgers as the game was called in the bottom of the third frame due to weather.
The Badgers are back in action against Alma College on Thursday, February 27 at 12:15pm.
