Adams comes to NVU-Johnson recently after spending the 2020 season as the head coach of the Ghajnieslem Redcoats. Prior to her time with the Redcoats, Adams was the owner and director of operations at Pure Performance Inc. located in Fairfax, Virginia before selling her business in 2014. She also has spent time as the Arlington Girls Softball Association head travel softball coach, director of softball and administration for the Virginia Baseball Club and was the varsity softball coach at La Jolla High School.

Adams earned a Positive Coaching Alliance Trainer certificate in March of 2017 and continues to dedicate her time to enhancing student-athlete performance. As a student-athlete, Adams was the starting shortstop at NCAA Division I George Mason University from 1996-1998. She was also a member of the Patriot's women's lacrosse team from 1998-1999 and earned a B.A. in Communication in May of 2000.
